John Slattery was born August 13, 1963 in Boston, Massachusetts and has been a steadily working actor since his first television appearance in 1988’s Dirty Dozen: The Series. He has also appeared on many other shows such as Homefront, Will and Grace, Sex and the City and as the cool, confident and aloof high school principal, Dennis Martino, on the sitcom, Ed. In 2007, he became a recurring character as Gabrielle’s new love interest, Victor, on the show, Desperate Housewives.
Roger Sterling, played by John Slattery on Mad Men, is one of the partners at Sterling Cooper advertising agency. He maintains a close eye on creative director, Don Draper, yet considers him a trusted friend who is well-poised to take over increasingly larger accounts in the firm.
