writer and producer Matthew Weiner comes a new primetime series called Mad Men
. In an attempt to showcase a provocative program, AMC has picked up an initial 13-episode order of the series, which will premiere on Thursday, July 19 at 10/9c.
Set in 1960 New York, Mad Men
explores the glamorous and dynamic world of advertising as it centers on the lives of the fiercely competitive men and women of the Sterling Cooper Ad Agency. Surrounded by an ego-driven environment, key players struggle to make a living out of selling while their private lives get sold.
