Format: Just like when the characters were separated on different parts of the island, we'd see scenes from the Oceanic 6 and those left on the island intercut together, though they wouldn't be occurring at the same time. Then, we'd have our character flash backs and forwards from one of the two timelines, therefore giving us three separate timelines per episode.
I think this is the most likely, though if not expertly executed, the audience might get a little confused. It'd allow for a bizarrely linear form of storytelling and, once the audience got used to it, it'd be pretty exciting. The biggest problem I can foresee (under the assumption that season 5 will end with the Oceanic 6 returning to the island) is that the on-island action will have to be accelerated relative to the Oceanic 6 story.
