Ben and Locke have “the talk” about the whole Ben killing John thing. Ben does his best to explain exactly why he did it, but Locke says he was just looking for an apology. Something is seriously off with Locke ever since his resurrection. He’s far too casual about everything, as if the afterlife provided some much needed clarity.

The two plan to take a boat back to the big island for judgment day, but they’re stopped by Caesar. He refuses to let them leave, but it’s not really up to him since Ben stole his shot gun. Without much warning, Ben shoots and kills Caesar. So much for that new character.  It's funny because I don’t remember reading anything about Said Taghmaoui getting a DUI.

Ben looks around and says “This gentleman and I are taking a boat. Does anyone else have a problem with that?” It’s certainly the closest Michael Emerson has ever come and will ever come to being an action star. And it’s pretty awesome.

The two paddle over to the dock, chatting the whole way and bickering like two old friends. Somehow Ben killing Locke was the greatest thing that ever happened for their friendship.

Locke thinks Ben isn’t going back to be judged for breaking the rules, he wants to be judged for Alex’s death. This takes us to another flashback as Ben returns to his camp with baby Alex. Apparently Charles Widmore is STILL on the Island, and he wants Ben to kill the baby. Since Ben isn’t a heartless monster (at least not yet), he refuses.
