Remember Nikki (Kiele Sanchez)? Of course you do, she was the hilariously out-of-place survivor who, along with her partner in crime Paulo (Rodrigo Santoro), wasted everyone’s time in season 3 until finally delivering what is, in my opinion, one of Lost’s strongest episodes, and one of the finest pieces of meta-fiction I’ve ever seen, “Expose.”


Well, it turns own, the namesake of that episode, the cheesy TV series Nikki appeared on, is so popular it’s dubbed into Korean. When Sun went into labor, the episode of “Expose” in which Nikki’s character is killed off was playing on her TV. I found this hugely entertaining because, while many fans would much rather forget about Nikki and Paulo, the Lost writers haven’t. You have to admire them for that.
