Filming is underway for
Lost's fifth season down in Hawaii and, thus, there are spoilers to be found.
Lost fans, as rabid and crazy as they are, have already begun spying on the
Lost production team and come away with a gaggle of on-set pictures. These pictures don't really definitively say anything about the new season, but we can make a variety of assumptions based on the setting and the cast members involved. It appears that the
Lost team is doing a lot of location shooting early in the new season. If you want to be fresh going into season 5 of
Lost, I advise you turn away now.
SPOILERS!!! LOST SPOILERS, IN FACT!!! THE GREATEST OF ALL SPOILERS!!!
All of these set pictures come from the great DarkUFO. You can check them out in their original form
here and
here.
These set pictures and reports are all reportedly from the fourth episode of season five, which happens to be the same episode that EW's Michael Ausiello reports that we'll discover the fate of Jin. But, that is less intriguing then what we're seeing in the pictures.
First, there's this picture with Sayid, Jack and Ben. That's Jack's car, with California plates.
This next picture is from the same scene, but it features the carpet cleaning van that Sayid and Ben drive in together, reportedly.
It looks like the Oceanic 6 might be coming together, no? Well, the next set report is all about the 6. A local harbor was transformed into the Long Beach Harbor Club, as the picture shows below.
But, the most important aspect is the set report given by a local, which contains these juicy tidbits:
A yacht club member who was fortunately an avid fan said last night's shoot involved Evangeline Lilly, Yunjin Kim, and a young boy playing Aaron. She said she was back tonight because the roster would be even larger. In addition to Kate and Sun, Sayid (Naveen Andrews), Ben (Michael Emerson) and Jack (Matthew Fox) were due on set.
Hurley is the only member of the Oceanic 6 that is absent, but still – if Sun, Kate and Aaron show up to meet Jack, Sayid and Ben in the vicinity of boats, that has to mean their departure is imminent, right? If that's the case, we know that it will take four episodes on the mainland to get the Oceanic 6 on their way back to the island. I always had the hunch that season 5 would end with the Oceanic 6 returning to the island. That would mean it would take the Oceanic 6 roughly twelve or thirteen episodes to find the island. That doesn't seem unreasonable, but I also doubt that Cuse and Lindelof would strand a number of their main characters on a boat for such an extended period of time. But, you never know.
Will the Oceanic return to the island before the season 5 finale?
