Lost: Dominic Monaghan Suddenly Pops Up In 'Flash Forward'
So what exactly was Charlie Pace doing on that promo for ABC?  He's died in Lost ways back, so unless they decide to revive him (pretty much like what they're doing to Emilie de Ravin, or so it seems), that appearance on the network's fall promo, alongside Grey's Anatomy's Patrick Dempsey, Cougar Town's Courteney Cox and Modern Family's Ed O'Neill, would be pretty weird.  Or a stunt decision.  But it can't be there for nothing, right?

Well, turns out Dominic Monaghan isn't returning to Lost, which will air its final season next year.  But, it was confirmed that he is returning to ABC, in a brand new series.  Suddenly, the world lit up with questions.  Which one?  There are lots of new shows on that network, right?  Well, if you'll listen to the folks at IGN, they might have an answer: Flash Forward.

Yep, that show which is being touted as a companion series to Lost, as that show makes its final farewell.  Makes sense, right?  Putting in someone from a concluding series to a series that's being set as its replacement?  Anyway, that series, which will premiere in the fall, is based on Robert J. Sawyer's novel, and is basically about what happens to the world when everybody in it blacks out for roughly two minutes--and wakes up seeing the results of the global event that caused it, as well as visions of their own future.

Sounds geeky to me--not that it's bad, but it pretty much fits Lost's profile.  Spiffy casting move, if it is indeed true.

Flash Forward currently has Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Sonya Walger and Jack Davenport on the cast, and that's all that ABC's willing to tell.  "There is a lot of speculation out there right now, but we're not confirming any casting at this point," a representative for the network said.  However, sources tell IGN that it's almost a done deal, and if so, Monaghan will play a major role in the show.

Somehow I knew these folks aren't telling something when I was working on them the past week.  If it's this one, then man, it's spiffy.

Edit: According to the folks at E! Online, Monaghan won't appear on Flash Forward until the second episode. So that probably confirms it, and then some. So that also explains a few other things...
