Well, I suppose after watching re-caps and checking every online site I could find, I wasn't completely delusional and
Lost really did lose.
I'm shocked they were only nominated for 2 categories in the 2007 Golden Globe Awards: Best actress in a drama (
Evangeline Lilly) and Best series drama. Here is where my little tug of war starts...
Grey's Anatomy beat out
Lost. I want to be angry but they are both amazing shows and even I'm not too sure which show I would pick if I had to pick one.
I think J.J. Abrams is brilliant. I will even go as far as saying that I don't think there is a better TV writer / producer out there. I am also quite partial to the show
What About Brian he produced, although I'll only admit that this one time. I have yet to meet another person who likes What About Brian.
I think the Golden Globes should pay more attention to the true detail of a show. When you get a show like
Lost, it is so multi-layered that it would be hard to compare it to any other show out there. Also, I love that they give background on the characters. So many shows don't and if you can't find something to relate to in a show, you simply won't watch it.
Should I spill who I relate to in
Lost? Nope... that's for you to figure out.
All in all I think it was terrible that
Lost really did lose. I don't understand the criteria for choosing a winner, although I do hope whoever these judges are, next year they watch the show before they vote.
