Lizzie McGuire

Younger viewers came to know Robert Carradine as Samuel "Sam" McGuire on Disney’s Lizzie McGuire.  As Matt and Lizzie’s father, he was considered as slightly goofy and clueless about raising a teenager.  On the other hand, he was always available to lend a helping hand.  He added whim and quirkiness to the show whenever he enjoyed the clever schemes of his children, which often led to the distress of wife Jo. Moreover, he illustrated a great deal of clumsiness, which daughter Lizzie seemingly inherited.  At present, he remains in the limelight with his upcoming movie projects.

Robert Carradine taps into the horror-thriller genre as he plays the role of Darwin in the movie Tooth & Nail later this year.  Directed by Mark Young, the film revolves around a group of people in a post-apocalyptic fight to survive against ferocious cannibals.

Next, the former Lizzie McGuire actor will be featured in the movie Deep Winter, an action-adventure story about friends who set out to be the first people to ski a treacherous Alaskan peak.  He will be playing the role of Coach Dando, joining lead stars Eric Lively and Kellan Lutz.

Following his exposure on Lizzie McGuire, Robert Carradine continued to work on a few guest roles on television but mostly gained projects for the big screen.  He appeared on Law & Order: Criminal Intent as David Blake, Jane Doe: Ties That Bind as Everett and was cast in films like Comanche Stallion, Hoboken Hollow, and Supercross.

Until today, Robert Carradine remains to be associated with his iconic goofy father role driven by his exposure on the television series Lizzie McGuire, as well as box office hit, The Lizzie McGuire Movie.
