Lalaine Vergara-Paras got her TV break on the Disney original series
Lizzie McGuire. As Miranda Isabella Sanchez, she was recognized as one of the best friend’s of Lizzie McGuire (Hilary Duff), the other being Gordo (Adam Lamberg). Although she wasn’t mean, she was considered as the radical among the trio. Despite her abrupt departure from the show, she was able to shed light on many teenage issues and adventures in a spirited and sassy kind of way. Before the year ends, she will be returning onscreen with an action-thriller movie.
Marking her biggest role so far is the movie
Royal Kill, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on December 1. The former
Lizzie McGuire actress will be featured as the lead character Jan, along with Academy Award nominees Eric Roberts and Pat Morita. The movie centers on a high school teenage girl in America as she discovers that she is the last living heir to the Kingdom of Samarza. Suspense and action kick in as an assassin surfaces to kill the young princess while a noble guardian has been sent to protect her.
After her stint on
Lizzie McGuire, Lalaine Vergara-Paras reprised her famous TV role on the spin-off series entitled
What’s Stevie Thinking?, a show about Miranda’s younger sister. Unfortunately, the pilot did not air as planned and was eventually scrapped out.
Nevertheless, she became preoccupied with several hosting gigs when she went to the Philippines, where her parents are originally from. Her endeavors included a hosting job for the travel show
Flipside and several guest appearances on the GMA Network.
