Living Lohan

E! Reality
Daddy Michael Isn't Keen About 'Living Lohan'
If you think all the drama has gone down the drain with the closing of season two of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, think again.  E! is now serving us up with a fresh batch of reality TV shows for the summer, one very intriguing show in particular is Living Lohan, which centers on the controversial mother and daughter tandem of Dina and Ali Lohan.  The Lohan name itself is a big word to throw around following actress Lindsay Lohan’s battle with drugs and alcohol.  However, she has begun to come out on top of her game, steadily rebuilding her acting career by appearing in the season finale of Ugly Betty.  But what is there to do while big sis Lindsay is steadily gaining her momentum once again?  Strike back with your own reality show.

Dina and Ali Lohan are starring in the freshest E! reality series, Living Lohan, which follows the mother and daughter as the younger Lohan tries to follow in her sisters footsteps and become the next teen pop sensation.  Should Miley Cyrus be worried?

While Living Lohan has just begun airing on Memorial Day, OK! Magazine was quick to get the opinion of daddy Michael Lohan.  In fact, he admits that he has seen some future episodes, and he isn’t much of a fan.

“If I were to look at things from a worldly perspective, I would probably have a lot to say about exploitation, hypocrisy and even deception,” Michael Lohan said of Episode 1 (“Mommy Will Fix It”).  “For now, let's just say I'm still trying to figure out if this show is about managing Ali's career and being a 'real' mother, or reading tabloids.”

Moreover, Michael Lohan stressed the fact that he is quite concerned about the way Dina is handling his children, saying, “some of the people Dina surrounds the kids with still concerns me — again, I can address that when they appear on the show.  I just hope Dina takes the high road — like a Lohan would — and rights these wrongs.”

Michael believes that if Dina sticks to what the show is really about—which is showing the world her true colors—she should be able to make a decision to do what’s right for her kids.

"If this show is about the being a mother and a manager, the most important thing is to set a good example by instilling positive values, and doing what's right for the kid's sake," he says.  "Not for our own!"

Nonetheless, he hopes that Dina is indeed making the right choices for his children, and that "get what they want out of [the show]."

Meanwhile for those who didn’t catch the show’s debut, make sure to tune into E! at 10:30pm tonight for a rerun of “Mommy Will Fix It.”  Also, check out the clip below for a sneak peek of that episode.
