Following her role as Dr. Jennifer Melfi, the psychiatrist of mob boss Tony on The Sopranos, Lorraine Bracco returns to primetime TV as she makes a guest appearance on one of NBC's latest dramedies, Lipstick Jungle.

Read on to find out more about Bracco's episode entitled “Chapter Two: Nothing's Sacred.”

On last week's premiere episode of Lipstick Jungle, fans got to know Movie exec Wendy Healy (Brooke Shields), who does everything she can do to balance her career and family life.  Viewers also got a glimpse of the free-spirited designer Victory Ford (Lindsay Price), who aspires to make her dreams come true and find his ideal match along the way, and Nico Reilly (Kim Raver), editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine who has her eye on becoming CEO.

In the second episode of the series, the Jungle heats up as Lorraine Bracco guest stars as Janice Lasher, a spiteful book publisher with a grudge against Wendy and a tell-all manuscript by Wendy's former nanny.  Janice is introduced in a plot involving Wendy's novel being submitted for publication, which is promoted by her nemesis in the form of Janice.

In a funny scene on a show that takes itself too seriously, Bracco delivers a witty remark when Wendy tries to persuade Janice not to publish the book.  Wendy goes on and on about the trials of trying to balance the demands of being a movie mogul and a good mom.  When she finishes spilling her guts, Janice waits a beat and says, "You must have me confused with your shrink."

According to Bracco, who is expected to be part of a two-episode story arc, she herself suggested that Janice should have a hard edge.

"When I spoke to [executive producer] Oliver [Goldstick] about creating Janice, I asked him to keep her a tough New Yorker.  I said, 'Why can't this character be someone who went to Brooklyn College instead of [the other women on Lipstick] who are very slick and fancy shmancy?'  I wanted to be the 'jungle' in Lipstick."

Lipstick Jungle
airs tonight at 10/9c on NBC.
