ABC Family's Lincoln Heights
is finally airing its season finale tonight: two hours of the Suttons facing challenges at home, at work, at school, and in life collectively since moving in to their new house in Lincoln Heights.
It's been quite a ride for the family since the third season began airing last September, and everybody seems to be up to something despite the latest run lasting for only ten episodes. Eddie (Russell Hornsby
), still up to speed as a police officer, has grappled with maintaining the peace in the town he lives in, and eventually with his mother's tragic death more than two decades ago, as seen when he opposed the release of his mother's killer.
Charles (Robert Adamson
) and Cassie (Erica Hubbard
), on the other hand, were determined to take their relationship to the next level. They had sex for the first time, inadvertently recording the entire thing, and feared that Cassie got pregnant. Eventually Charles proposes marriage to her, but both realize that it's too early to take yet another step in their relationship, and they ended up vowing to stay friends forever.
Tay (Mishon Ratliff
) is still intent on pursuing a recording career, and after so many tries, he finally meets someone who could help him achieve his dreams—but not until a snag when he almost becomes responsible for overdosing someone on drugs. He also lost his closest friend, Johnny Nightingale (Gus Hoffman), in a car accident. Sage (Alice Greczyn), finally, grappled with a near-death experience that put her in a coma in the second season, and while we've seen a different side to her this season, she's never really lost that bitchy quality of hers.
Tonight, Lincoln Heights
airs the last two episodes of season 3 back to back, beginning with Jenn (Nicki Micheaux
) and Eddie deciding to attend to watch over their children. Later, everything they've worked for goes at risk of disappearing in a snap, when a strong earthquake rattles the town. Would things be better for the Suttons? The day begins with a Lincoln Heights
marathon from midday ET, and the season finale—with soulstress Solange Knowles as guest star—followed from 8pm on ABC Family.
