Fans of NBC's
Life can expect a lot of heat in tonight's broadcast.
According to the network, the episode, entitled “Farthingale,” follows detective Charlie Crews (
Damian Lewis) and Dani Reese (
Sarah Shahi) as they try to determine whether a gas explosion that vaporizes half of a man's torso is an accident or arson. Also, Crews finds himself in the middle of another murder investigation.

As Crews and Reese investigate the explosion, they discover that the man was an IRS agent leading a double life. The man was not only juggling two careers, but two wives as well. Also, the two detectives try to answer if the IRS agent's quest to become a hero is what got him killed.
Meanwhile, Detective Carl Ames (Roger Brown), the one who handled Crews' murder case, is found dead in the parking lot of the police station. As a result, Internal Affairs investigates Crews, believing he has ties to the crime.
Spoiler TV is also reporting that the episode introduces Crews' father, a former member of the SWAT Team.
Meanwhile, OurSports Central claims that the Modesto Nuts baseball cap will be featured in tonight's
Life as a clue to solve the crime. Aside from the Modesto cap, the show will also feature caps from four other league teams in California, namely the Stockton Ports, Visalia Oaks, Bakersfield Blaze and Lancaster JetHawks.
This is the second time in two years that the Modesto Nuts Professional Baseball Club will be featured on show in network television. Last year, one of the main characters on the now defunct family drama,
7th Heaven, had to decide between going to college or launching his professional baseball career with the Modesto Nuts.
