MTV has new series that takes viewers into the coming-of-age story of the youngest person to ever turn professional in the world of skateboarding.  While many youngsters only imagine what it's like to have fame and fortune as a professional skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler is already living the life.  At 17-years-old, has everything a boy could ever dream of having.  He has traveled the world, won many competitions, owns a Range Rover and even has his own skate park in his backyard.  On the other hand, underneath this skateboard phenomenon is a regular teenage boy who struggles with many issues.  This is the Life of Ryan.

Read on to find out about the cast.

Leading the series is Ryan Sheckler, a skateboarder who turned pro at age of 13.  He has since won numerous competitions such as Gravity Games, Slam City Jam, Vans Triple Crown and X Games, and has acquired sponsorships from various companies.  As an average teen, he hopes to find the right girl while dealing with his parents' recent divorce and struggling with other teenage issues.

Also featured on Life of Ryan are his two younger siblings, Shane and Kane, whom Ryan strives to be a father figure for.  Both siblings enjoy skateboarding and look up to the success of their older brother.

Wearing many hats in the family is Gretchen, the omnipresent mother of Ryan who also serves as his manager.  She often travels with him to his skateboarding events while maintaining his day-to-day schedule.

Randy, who divorced Gretchen after nearly 18 years of marriage, remains a hands-on dad to Ryan and his brothers.  However, things become awkward with the emergence of Randy's new girlfriend.

Despite all the issues, Ryan is not alone.  He gets continuous advice from three loyal friends, Tony, Casey and Taylor, who all get him through the pressures of teenage life while living the life of a professional skateboarder.

Life of Ryan premieres on Monday, August 27 at 10:30 ET/PT on MTV.
