Life of Ryan star Ryan Sheckler will be among several athletes whose unique sports equipment will be up for grabs in a special charity auction.  More than 45 one-of-a-kind items will be available for bidding on eBay's first ever Wings for Life Charity Auction this month.

Proceeds from the Wings for Life sale will benefit the Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation.

Athletes and sporting icons from all over the globe have donated priceless, collectible memorabilia to help raise funds for the Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research.  The donated items are hard-to-come-by, irreplaceable pieces including the athletes' own personal trophies that cannot be bought anywhere else except through the Wings for Life auction.

Items to go on the block include contributions from international superstars like Cyril Despres and his Dakar-winning 2007 KTM bike, MotoGP champ Nicky Hayden and his racing helmet, B.A.S.E. jumper Felix Baumgartner and his jump suit and world champion surfer Sofia Mulanovich and her surfboard.

“Supported by numerous athletes, we will sell absolutely unique exhibits from the world of sports, and the revenues from the auction will be used to make further progress in the field of spinal cord research”, Heinz Kinigadner, founder of Wings for Life, explained.  “When we started to ask for a few unusual items we soon came to realise that these people were more than willing to give us some of their personal memorabilia and trophies.”

Other collectibles awaiting potential bidders are David Coulthard's actual Formula 1 race car, Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White's 2008 X-Games helmet, Motor Sport Legend Travis Pastrana's signed jersey and skateboard and MTV's Life of Ryan star Ryan Sheckler's signed board.  There is also a Red Bull Air Race World Series weekend package for two, which comes complete with a two-seater flight alongside current champion, American Mike Mangold.

For just a minimum starting bid of $2, the public may go after the valuable collectibles like Life of Ryan star, Ryan Sheckler's personally autographed skateboard, which will go on sale from March 13-30 on eBay.
