Life of Ryan

Life of Ryan's Ryan Sheckler is reportedly “bummed” that his scheduled three-hour visit to a Long Beach apparel store was cut short.  Sheckler's agent posted a message on ryansheckler.com the day after the interrupted visit, assuring Sheckler's fans that the shortened signing appearance wasn't Ryan's fault.

“Ryan will be calling into the site soon to explain,” the Life of Ryan star's agent wrote.  “He is more bummed then all of you.  First off, I know you are all upset and we really appreciate you coming out.  However, this is not Ryan's fault at all.  He was planning on being there the whole 3 hours, however the Police shut it down!!!!  NOT Ryan.  He was so bummed and even tried to go to the door and say Hi at least and they said NO WAY!!  Ryan knows he has the best fans in the world!!  He would never do something like that on purpose.  He is not in charge at those things, he is simply there for you guys.”

On Valentine's Day, the champion skateboarder and star of MTV's Life of Ryan, sent a throng of about 2,000 avid fans into frenzy when he made a scheduled three-hour visit to Tilly's clothing store in Long Beach.  Sheckler's stopover wasn't in vain as the enthusiastic crowd gave the extreme athlete and reality star a lot of love and an overwhelming reception.

Although there were no reports of trouble, disturbance or injury, the staff of Tilly's at the Long Beach Towne Center eventually decided to seek police assistance when the number of fans became too much for the store to handle.

"The crowd was too big for Tilly's to handle," Cheryl Rudich, spokesperson for Tilly's clothing shop, said.

According to Rudich, around 30 fans had already reportedly gathered at the store as early as 8am on February 14.  By noon that day, the group had ballooned to a thousand who were eagerly awaiting the Life of Ryan star's visit scheduled later that afternoon.

Ryan Sheckler arrived at the apparel shop at roughly 4pm for his planned three-hour stay.  By then, the group that had congregated for his visit had swelled to 2,000.  The crowd had become so big that a small army of police officers were left with no choice but to break up the gathering prematurely at 5:30pm.

A total of 45 law enforcers formed lines to usher the 2,000-strong assembly of Sheckler's out of Tilly's.  Overhead, a police chopper kept a lookout on the proceedings at ground level.  Aside from facilitating the orderly exodus of the Life of Ryan star's assembled followers from the shop, the officers also did car control duties to help decongest traffic from the Towne Center parking lot.  Although Sheckler's visit to Tilly's was officially broken up at 5:30pm, the police reportedly had to work on the traffic situation until 8 that evening.
