Tilly's SigningLast week, we reported that skateboard and reality TV star Ryan Sheckler had allegedly relayed a message through his agent about how “bummed” he was regarding the incident at Tilly's Clothing Store.  The Life of Ryan star had been scheduled for a three-hour signing at the apparel shop on Valentine's Day.  However, due to the unexpectedly overwhelming turnout of fans who lined up even before the store opened for business, the autograph session was shut down by police an hour and a half into the event.

Last week, Sheckler's agent posted a message on the Life of Ryan celebrity's official webpage blog to address the debacle.  Among other things, Sheckler's agent promised that his charge would be phoning soon to personally explain what had happened.  This week, we have the Life of Ryan star's own words transcribed from the audio file of that call.

“It was, by far, the gnarliest thing I'd ever been to,” Sheckler admitted of the Tilly's incident during a phone call he made to his agent the day after the interrupted signing.

“It's so hard to explain - like the fans were so outrageous,” Life of Ryan's central figure added.  “It was such a giddy feeling for me just coz of how dedicated my fans are.  It was insane.  I think there was about - at the end they said there was almost like 5,000 people there.  The riot police came out – the riot police were there with like shields and the hats on like freaking, just trying to calm the crowd out.  It was nuts.”

“I'm pretty bummed I only got to get through probably like – I might not even have got through 200 of them and you know, there was thousands,” the extreme athlete/reality star confessed.  “I feel bad.  I feel pretty bad that it had to get shut down but it was crazy.  It was too crazy to continue.  It was nuts,” he repeated.

“The cops shut it down,” Sheckler went on with his account of what transpired.  “It was a big liability for Tilly's too to have that many people there and the cops shut it down.  If I had my choice I was gonna keep going I was scheduled to be there for two hours.”

Despite the chaos that ensued, Sheckler promised that they will do their best to ensure that the next signing appearances will be conducted in a far more orderly and efficient manner.

“It'll be run better and a little bit more under control,” the skateboarding champion uttered.  “At least we're gonna try.”

He ended the phone call with an apology to those who did not get his autograph and were turned away.

“Sorry to anyone that didn't get the chance to get through that line,” the star of Life of Ryan said.
