The freshman run of MTV's
Life of Ryan comes to an end tonight with a special guest appearance from skateboarding icon Tony Hawk.
In an effort to find “neutral territory” away from his family's drama,
Ryan plans to move out and buy a house of his own. He turns to his skateboarding idol, Tony, who bought his first house at the same age, for some advice. Ryan's plans, however, do not sit well with his family, particularly with little brother
Kane, who clearly does not want Ryan to live away from the rest of the Sheckler clan.

According to MTV,
Life of Ryan's second season, which will explore Ryan's relationships with friends
Taylor,
Tony and
Casey as his traveling increases, will premiere on January.
Life of Ryan is a reality series that revolves around teen skateboard phenomenon, Ryan Sheckler. Although his career is still young, 17-year-old Ryan, who is managed by his mother,
Gretchen, has received numerous recognitions, including being named the World Cup of Skateboarding National Street Champion twice and Dew Action Sports Athlete of the Year in 2005. The following year, he won the Global Assault in Australia and finished fifth at the Tampa Pro in Florida.
Life of Ryan gives viewers an inside look not only into Ryan's budding career, but also his family life. His parents' recent divorce has prompted Ryan to assume the role of “surrogate dad” to his younger brothers, 15-year-old
Shane and eight-year-old Kane, both of whom he considers his “most prized possessions.”
With the success of
Life of Ryan and his skateboarding career, Ryan is more than willing to continue relishing his newfound fame, and claims he is not about ready to give it all up.
“I would never give it all up… It's a God-given gift and I'm just gonna ride it all out as long as I can and see what happens,” Ryan said in response to a fan query on his community website. “It's fun. It's a crazy lifestyle, I'm used to it now… there's no turning back.”
Catch the first season finale of
Life of Ryan tonight at 10:30pm ET/PT.
