Born on May 20, 1967 in Bangor, Maine, Stephanie Niznik began her acting career by appearing in theater productions such as Crimes of the Heart and Dial M for Murder. Venturing into television acting, she first appeared as guest star on hit TV series such as
Grey's Anatomy ,
Traveler , Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Profiler, JAG,
Frasier and Diagnosis Murder. She also appeared on Guardian Angel, Vanishing Son and
Everwood , where she played Nina Feeney, a role she is most known for.
Jo Clarke of CW's Life is Wild is played by Stephanie Niznik. A sought-after divorce attorney based in New York, Jo is a recent divorcee herself, separating from her husband who was sent to jail for a white-collar crime he committed. She later married Danny Clarke, and their marriage instantly took effect over her two children from her first husband. Her son Jesse became rebellious, cutting class and disobeying her every rule. He simply did not accept their marriage. Mia, her daughter, distracted herself by becoming obsessed with the New York Mets. Her children aren't Jo's only problems as Danny decided to take the whole family (including his children with his former wife) to South Africa. This move marked their starting over, and further challenged their relationships with each other.
