'Life is Wild' Cast Changes
Friday, July 06, 2007

D.W. Moffett is one of the new cast members of Life is Wild. Another new CW drama series has just undergone major changes to its cast.

Last week, it was reported that actor D.W. Moffett would be taking over the role of veterinarian Danny Clarke in the new drama, Life is Wild.  Originally, Brett Cullen (Friday Night Lights, Falcon Crest) was assigned to the role, and consequently worked on the show's pilot.

D.W. Moffett, 52, was previously involved with CW’s short-lived teen drama, Hidden Palms.  His other acting credits include Stealing Beauty, Traffic, Boys of Winter, Philadelphia Story, The Normal Heart and Crossing Jordan.  Additionally, the upcoming comedy flick, Visioneers, will feature Moffett as a man named Jeffers.  His co-stars in the movie include Missi Pyle (The Wedding Bells) and Judy Greer (Arrested Development).

On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter said that Stephanie Niznik will appear on Life is Wild as Jo Clarke, D.W. Moffett’s on-screen wife.  The role originally belonged to Judith Hoag (Big Love, Grey’s Anatomy). Like Cullen, Hoag was involved in the show's pilot.

Stephanie Niznik is most known for her portrayal of Nina Feeney on Everwood.  Her other previous television projects include Grey’s Anatomy, Enterprise and Diagnosis Murder.

The 40-year-old actress will also be seen in the upcoming film, The Twenty.  In it, Stephanie Niznik will play a woman named Dot. The film also stars Clancy Brown (Carnivale), Lisa Darr (Life As We Know It) and Rodney Scott (American Dreams).

Life is Wild is based on the British series, Wild at Heart.  The CW officially picked up the show on May 15, ordering 15 episodes for the first season.  It is scheduled to air every Sunday night beginning this fall.

Other shows that are included in CW’s new Sunday lineup are newsmagazine CW Now, an encore presentation of America’s Next Top Model and Online Nation, a reality series that will feature popular web topics while giving viewers a chance to take part in a live chat room.
