CW's Life is Wild: Meet the Cast

Coming this fall is a drama series adapted by Michael Rauch, George Faber and Charlie Pattinson from popular British drama, Wild at Heart, entitled Life is Wild. Officially picked up by CW for an initial 13-episode order, the pilot is scheduled to air on Sunday nights at 8/7c, following Online Nation.

Set in South Africa, Life is Wild is about the life of a New York veterinarian named Danny and his decision to tag along his daughter and son, as he moves in with his second wife, and her kids in a broken-down lodge called The Blue Antelope. Aside from Danny’s desire to keep the family intact, he aims to make a difference in the lives of the people and animals that surrounds them.

Brett Cullen stars as Dr. Danny Clarke, the New York veterinarian who aspires to make a difference in South Africa. Cullen is known for being cast on the series Friday Night Lights, and for being part of the drama Falcon Crest.

Starring as Danny’s daughter Katie Clarke is Leah Pipes, who has appeared on Crossing Jordan and on Lost at Home as a regular cast member.

K'Sun Ray stars as Chase Clarke, Katie's 11-year-old brother. Ray has appeared on television shows like Fielder’s Choice, Criminal Minds, and In Justice.

Judith Hoag plays the role of Jo Clarke, Danny’s second wife and mother of two children. This 38-year old actress is best known for playing April O'Neil in the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. Her television credit includes Big Love, Grey’s Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Still Standing, and Commander in Chief.

Playing Jo’s rebellious teenage son Jesse is Andrew St. John. This 24-year old actor has played Kyle Ratcliffen on the soap opera General Hospital.

Mary Matilyn Mouser plays the role of Mia, Jo’s 7-year-old daughter. Mouser has appeared on shows like NCIS and The King of Queens.

Other cast members include David Butler as Jo, Calvin Goldspink as Oliver Banks, Tiffany Mulheron as Emily Banks, Jeremy Sheffield as Colin Banks, and Atandwa Kani as Tumelo.
