Oh the games lovers play.

On Gossip Girl, we  know from the get-go that if ever Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) officially became a couple, they won't be your run-of-the-mill movie-going couple. When they did, we were proven right. But seriously, this role-playing "game" that they tried to do is beyond experimentation. So they decided to shy away from the typical relationship stuff people do in an effort to avoid growing bored with each other. Unfortunately, this meant getting a third person, perhaps necessarily a girl, in the fray to keep things fresh.

As Serena (Blake Lively) dutifully pointed out, there is an attendant risk to their little game because Chuck is, well, Chuck. His track record is not exactly on his side, and when you look at him while they were scouting those girls outside that modeling agency place, there's just no hiding that naughty glint in his eyes. Blair was starting to have second thoughts to the arrangement, but, I don't know, because she didn't like being perceived as normal and typical, she was going with it.

But oh Chuck. What have they done to you? "I'm not Chuck Bass without you," he tells Blair. Seriously, is this really you? But then we know that this is exactly the appeal of Chuck. That because he's not remotely showy of his emotions, when he does, it's amazing. At the end of last season right before they officially became together, Chuck admitted that all he wanted was for Blair to be happy. And if that meant them being not together, so be it.

Essentially, this is what happened in the last part of "Reversals of Fortune" when Blair went home and was practically expecting Miss Pouty Mouth in Chuck's room. When she didn't find her, we know these two are kind of made for each other -- in a weird, twisted way.
