Law & Order: SVU

NBC Drama
'Law & Order: SVU' Goes "Retro"
Controversy flares up on tonight’s episode of Law & Order: SVU when the team tries to handle an investigation whose rules they’re not familiar with.  This could cause problems for both the victims and the suspects, not to mention the detectives.  Apparently, the evidence the team recovers only manages to bring up further questions regarding the case.

On “Retro,” Detectives Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) seek the help of another colleague to help them deal with a new investigation.  A young girl with AIDS pushes the two to bring in Doctor Melinda Warner (Tamara Tunie), whose expertise will help with bringing the perpetrator to the surface.

The baby with AIDS soon leads the team to examine the clinic of a homeopathic doctor with questionable ethics.  His practices are open to dispute, bringing him to court because he prescribed ineffective vitamins for the baby.  Dr. Warner has to lend a hand in uncovering the bogus cures and possible murder that could be kept secret until now.  The evidence points to Doctor Gideon Hutton (guest star Martin Mull), who later ends up in a trial for his alleged malpractices.

Below is the preview of “Retro,” in which actor Michael Mull has to define the boundaries between medicine and murder.  Warner and A.D.A. Kim Greylek (Michaela McManus) discuss the case, but all the confusion could lead to a worse conclusion.

“Retro” also stars Donna Murphy as Dr. Raye Massey, Paula Malcomson as Susan Ross, and Aidan Mitchell as Tommy Ross.  Previously on Law & Order: SVU, the detectives had to deal with the murder of an astronaut.  The latest episode of Law & Order: SVU airs on NBC tonight, October 28, at 10pm.  Next week, the series returns with “Babes,” where two group of teenage girls cause trouble when one of them is burned to death.
