'Last Man Standing' Season 1 Preview Guide: It's a Woman's World; Deal with It
Last Man Standing is Tim Allen's latest small screen effort, but he might need to put a lot more effort in that show given his role. He's the only guy in a woman-dominated world, which means there'll be a lot of mood swings, power plays, and disagreements to man up to.

What to Expect on Last Man Standing Season 1:

On this upcoming comedy, Tim Allen plays the patriarch Mike Baxter. He thinks he's the epitome of manliness, being a thrill-seeker and the marketing director of an iconic sporting goods store. He takes his pick-up truck everywhere, on adventures to the wild or to the supermarket for a six-pack.

But lately, he's noticed that he isn't quite the king of his castle. At home, he's under the spell of his smart wife, Vanessa (Nancy Travis), and their three daughters. She's managed the house for years, but now she's back in the workplace and was even promoted early.

With things getting hectic, Mike realizes that he has to pitch in to keep the family together. He just didn't think it would be that hard.

He has to deal with 22-year-old Kristin (Alexandra Krosney), 17-year-old Mandy (Molly Ephraim), and 14-year-old Eve (Kaitlin Dever). These three have problems from finding a job to finding their identity to finding out that Glee isn't all that.

On the first episode of Last Man Standing season 1, Mike questions why man has gone from inventing the wheel to not being able to change a tire. He laments about how hunting for food has changed into being hunted down for incurring the wrath of women.

Also starring on the show is Hector Elizondo as Ed, Mike's Boss at the shop Outdoor Man. We get to see him on the pilot episode, holding a moose puppet.
