After his exposure on MTV's reality soap, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, Talan Torriero is now taking on the big screen as one of the main stars of the movie American High School.

In the romantic comedy, the 20-year-old actor will be joining lead actress Jillian Murray (One Night with You, Drake & Josh) in story exploring marital issues, money and the last week of high school. Torriero and Murray stars as Holden and Gwen Adams, senior students who marry young and now face the consequences of hasty decisions.  Despite the whirlwind of chaos, she soon finds peace with her husband and discovers her own self-worth in the process.

According to Murray, the film is described as mix of American Pie and Mean Girls.  Written and directed by Sean Patrick Cannon, American High School is currently in production and being filmed in Palm Springs, California.

Though this is Torriero first lead role, this isn't his first attempt in the silver screen.

Torriero entered showbiz as a supporting cast member in the first season of Laguna Beach. Eventually, he returned in the show's sophomore season as a main cast member and was seen pursuing a romantic affair with fellow costar Taylor Cole and Kristin Cavallari.  After Laguna Beach, he made several guest appearances on television and soon land roles in the horror feature Doing Time on the Set of Driftwood, Driftwood, and Through the Gauntlet: Inside the Walls of Driftwood.  He was also cast in the comedy Senior Skip Day, and 2001 Maniacs: Beverly Hellbillys, which is slated for release on October 30, 2008.
