The second season of
Kyle XY debuted with an impressive viewer count, having brought in a total of 2.2 million viewers. It equaled the previous season’s viewer average, but was well above the average in adults 18-34 and women 18-49.
The show, which is headlined by 24 year-old actor
Matt Dallas, tells the story of a teenager who finds himself with no memory of his past after waking up in the forest outside Seattle, Washington. He then attempts to comprehend the mysteries surrounding his existence, which includes not having a belly button and not being able to remember living life as a child.

Other major cast members include

Bruce Thomas,
April Matson,
Jean-Luc Lilodeau,

Kyle XY is the highest-rated show on ABC Family, and last week, the cable channel ordered 10 more episodes for the show’s current season. Moreover, ABC Family’s sister network, ABC, will be showing repurposed episodes of
Kyle XY every Friday night beginning June 15th. The episodes are expected to run until, at the very least, July 6th.
The first season of the show ended with Kyle leaving with his supposed birth parents, David and Julie Peterson. He left the Trager clan behind, telling them that he recovered memories that proved the Petersons were his real family. However, it was later revealed that the Petersons are actually working for Adam Baylin, and that they are part of a group of people tasked to protect Kyle.
