kitchen nightmaresAfter a successful first season of Kitchen Nightmares, Chef Gordon Ramsay returns tonight for yet another run of the reality series that follows the infamous restaurateur as he helps failing restaurants.  But before Ramsay embarks on new food adventures, he will first have to revisit the kitchens of six restaurants that were once on the verge of disaster.

Last season, Kitchen Nightmares focused on restaurants in the Southern California and New York City area.  These struggling establishments were about to close their doors due to rough financial times and uncertainty about the future so Ramsay stepped in to make some necessary changes.

With drastic makeovers, including alterations in the menu and decors, owners and staff members were able to stand back on their feet and get a taste of success.  The question is: Will these changes prove to be permanent?

Fans will finally find out on the second season opener of Kitchen Nightmares, which returns with a special two-hour episode called "Revisited: Gordon Returns," airing tonight at 8pm ET/PT on FOX.

Inspired by one of United Kingdom's biggest hits, Kitchen Nightmares is presently seen in more than 50 countries around the world.  The show follows Chef Ramsay as he hits the road and deal with a restaurant in crisis, while exposing the stressful realities of trying to run a successful food business.  It also features a different side of Ramsay, apart from his explosive outbursts on FOX's Hell's Kitchen.  In Kitchen Nightmares, fans will get a taste of Ramsay's nurturing side infused with inspirational leadership and tough love that will hopefully turn potential talent into a massive force to be recon with.

Kitchen Nightmars
is a co-production of Granada America and Optomen Television, in association with A. Smith & Co.   Arthur Smith, Pat Llewellyn, Kent Weed, Gerry McKean and Curt Northrup serve as executive producers to the series.
