If anyone knows how to run a successful restaurant, it's Chef Gordon Ramsay. He started cooking when he was just a teenager and now, at the age of 41, owns over 20 restaurants worldwide.  In the states alone, he owns four in New York and Florida.  He has also penned a number of cookbooks as well as an autobiography.

On the heels of his hit reality show, Hell's Kitchen, Ramsay brings us our very own version of his British hit, Kitchen Nightmares. In the U.K.,  the show has won a BAFTA Award (their equivalent of our Emmys) as well as a National Television Award.  The series premiered in the UK in 2004.  No word yet on how many restaurants Ramsay will work on here in the U.S. but in the U.K., he helped anywhere from four to eight

There'll be no shortage of foul language or Ramsay's explosive temper on Kitchen Nightmares. After all, his reputation is at stake and he has a responsibility to turn these restaurants around. He must work to bring up kitchens to code and find ways to get customers in the door. Ramsay will tell the managers and staff of each restaurant exactly what their problems are and we wouldn't expect anything less. Yet, those who understand Ramsay know that it all comes from a place of passion and wisdom and, in the end, he'll provide exceptional leadership to people who need it most.

Despite the fact that Ramsay has had some legal troubles regarding the show, Kitchen Nightmares rolls on full steam ahead.  The show, originally scheduled to air Thursdays opposite CSI and Grey's Anatomy, was moved to its current and less competitive 9pm slot on Wednesdays.  Its time slot is the only hour of the entire fall schedule to feature four new shows on the five major networks, with Criminal Minds on CBS as the sole returning series.  However, being the only reality series airing at that time should give it a boost.
