Brittany Murphy, the actress who got her break in the movie Clueless opposite Alicia Silverstone, died at 10:04am Sunday after going into full cardiac arrest. She was 32.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Spokeswoman Sally Stewart would not provide a cause pf death or any other information though the Los Angeles police have already opened an investigation into Murphy's death.

According to TMZ, a 911 call came from Murphy's home in West Hollywood hills around 8am. Then the Los Angeles Fire Department responded by resuscitating the actress, who landed her first acting gig at age 14 as Brenda Drexwell in the series Drexell's Class. A neighbor said Murphy was on a stretcher and "looked as though she was dead at the scene." Murphy was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

"In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support," a rep for Brittany Murphy said.

Murphy, who served as the voice of Luanne Platter on the animated series King of The Hill since 1997, was featured in films like Girl, Interrupted, Don't Say a Word, 8 Mile and Sin City. She was also credited for her appearances on Sister, Sister, Party of Five, Frasier, Boy Meets World and Blossom.

Prior to marrying British screenwriter Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy dated Ashton Kutcher, who costarred with Murphy in the 2003 romantic comedy Just Married.

Kutcher sent a message on Twitter Sunday morning about Murphy's death: "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine," Kutcher wrote. "My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany's family, her husband, and her amazing mother Sharon."
