kidnappedTimothy Hutton was known as Conrad Cain on the short-lived television series Kidnapped. He portrayed the father of Leopold Cain, the kidnapped victim. He was also known as a self-made millionaire with a mysterious past.

After Kidnapped, Hutton focused his career in making movies. He starred in The Good Shepherd, a thriller drama in which he played the role of Thomas Wilson. Next, he starred in the fantasy-adventure film called The Last Mimzy as the character David Wilder.

At present, Hutton continues to concentrate his energy in the big screen. On August 1, 2007, he will be starring as Gary in When a Man Falls in the Forest, a romantic drama about the lives of three men and their struggle with their problems and self-destructive ways. The film features Dylan Baker, Sharon Stone, Nicholas Elia, and Pruitt Taylor Vince. In addition, he just completed shooting the film Lymelife as Charlie Bragg. Also scheduled for release this year, the film centers on a family that is under the pressures of a failing marriage. The comedy drama also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh as Brenda Bartlett, Alec Baldwin as Mickey Bartlett, Cynthia Nixon as Melissa Bragg, Rory Culkin as Scott Bartlett, Adam Scarimbolo as Todd O’Leary and Johnathan Tchaikovsky as Jimmy. Subsequently, he stars in Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, a movie about a graduate student that deals with her recent breakup by conducting interviews with various men, and in The Alphabet Killer, a drama thriller based on the true story of the killings in Rochester, NY. Last but not the least, he will be starring in Multiple Sarcasms, a film slated for 2008 about a successful architect who goes through a mid-life crisis and ends up becoming a playwright. He stars as Gabriel and is joined by Mira Sorvino, Stockard Channing, Dana Delany, and Chris Sarandon.
