Son of actor Jim Hutton (a.k.a. Dana J. Hutton) and Maryline Poole Adams, Timothy Hutton won an Academy Award, two Golden Globes (Supporting Actor and New Star of the Year), Los Angeles Film Critics' award and Kansas City Film Critics Circle's award for his performance in Robert Redford's 1980 film Ordinary People. He served as executive producer and has directed for television films based on Rex Stout's novels. Hutton stars in NBC's action/adventure drama Kidnapped as Conrad Cain. Conrad Cain is a mysterious self-made millionaire with a past as opaque as the man himself.
