Fourteen-year-old Maggie from Evansville, Minnesota is an aspiring actress and musical whose favorite movie star is Pauley Perrette. She believes that a leader is defined as someone who can be trusted and one who is "able to connect with people and everyone should be able to feel and understand them." She believes that a leader must serve as an inspiration for the people he/she leads.

Maggie is featured on CBS' Kid Nation as one of the 40, 8 to 15-year olds sent to Bonanza City, New Mexico. There, they are tasked to establish their society complete with leadership and economy. They are to handle adult issues while dealing with homesickness. Every three days, a town meeting is held to honor individuals who have shown excellence in leadership and skill. The awardees are given gold stars worth $20,000.
