Keeping Up with the Kardashians star
Kim Kardashian has gained much notoriety thanks to the exposure of a sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray-J and nude photos featuring her and sister
Kourtney when they were still underage, and at the rate things are going, younger sisters
Kylie, 9, and
Kendall, 11, might just face their own share of scandals in the future.
From Kylie working the stripper pole in her parents' bedroom, to her and Kendall pretending to be part of a
Girls Gone Wild video (
see videos here), one is left wondering where in the world are mom and dad?
During the stripper pole incident, dad, who happens to be Olympic medalist
Bruce Jenner, walked in on Kylie's exhibition, and, not surprisingly, was dismayed to see his daughter demonstrating her talents on the stripper pole. Deeming Kylie's actions “inappropriate,” dad plucked the smiling Kylie out of the room.
As for when the two girls were playing
Girls Gone Wild, mom
Kris, along with older sisters Kim,
Khloe and Kourtney, were at
Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis' house in Mexico to shoot an ad campaign for a bikini line. Older brother Brody Jenner was the one tasked to look after the two girls, which he tried his best to do.
Seeing as both incidents happened outside the watchful eye of the parents, is it fair to place the blame on Kris and Bruce, and if so, what exactly are they being blamed for?
While viewers may have been shocked and disturbed by the girls' behavior on
Keeping Up with the Kardashians, there are still some who contend that the two children were just having some innocent fun. One BuddyTV reader even said that there wasn't “anything wrong with what the little girls were doing” and that “all kids goof off.”
Another reader pointed out that Bruce and Kris “were not happy about it, so we honestly don't know what was done from that point forward, but I think that they got the point across that this was [not] acceptable...”
Other readers did not necessarily do any finger-pointing, but strongly condemned the young girls' actions. One wrote that what was shown on
Keeping Up with the Kardashians is “child endangerment,” and called on child services to step in.
Another reader, sagebrook, shunned the reality series itself, saying
Keeping Up with the Kardashians is “an embarrassment to American families,” before commending another family-centered show.
“Thank God for
Gene Simmons Family Jewels - a real family who has all of the above without acting like [expletive],” sagebrook said.
While the parents' absence during the incidents does prove alarming, it is somewhat overshadowed by the actions of Brody's friend, Frankie Delgado, who proceeded to film the two girls when they were in the middle of acting out their idea of
Girls Gone Wild. His actions were not only immensely inappropriate, but downright creepy and perverse as well.
Who should be blamed for the Kardashian girls' wild behavior?
