The star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians is doing all she can to promote animal rights.  Khloe Kardashian is proving that she isn't just another reality television star with a more famous sister.  She's also a woman who can stand on her own, even in the nude.  The firm supporter of PETA joined the organization's new campaign, a clever ad crusade known as “I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur.” 

Khloe Kardashian, a self-proclaimed animal lover, had every right to be proud of what she did.  She admitted that she didn't know what was done to animals killed for their fur until PETA cleared things up for her.  Now that her eyes have been opened, she promises to do what she can to fight for animal rights. 

Agreeing to pose naked for the ad campaign, Khloe said that she's been taking the issue seriously.  “The [PETA] videos are so graphic but they are so necessary for people to watch.  I'm so grateful that I did get the opportunity to see them.  I had no idea that's how these animals are treated,” she said. 

On her official blog, Khloe continued to write in support of the animal rights campaign.  “I love that PETA is all about individuals taking baby steps in becoming aware of animal rights.” 

“I am done with fur forever and I have now found so many amazing faux fur lines that are great alternatives for women who love the look and love animals,” she continued.  “I am not a full vegetarian but I have not eaten red meat or pork in over 10 years.  I still eat chicken and turkey but I am trying to stop completely. I am also extremely careful now not to purchase products that are tested on animals.“ 

“I have started with fur but I hope that over time I will become a full vegetarian.  We shall see!”  We might just find out on TV if Khloe Kardashian remains true to her word, though it's doubtless she will.  She rose to fame being the smart and witty sister on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and is actually known as the “voice of reason” in the family.  She's definitely doing a lot better for herself these days, despite the DUI controversy she went through.  Maybe in due time she'll influence not just her Keeping Up with the Kardashians family, but the public as well.
