Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Kim On Dancing and Keeping Fit
It was previously reported that Kim Kardashian is taking on reality TV once again with her stint on Dancing with the Stars, which began on September 22 with the show’s seventh season debut.  The 27-year-old reality TV celebrity turned fashion entrepreneur was paired with pro dancer Mark Ballas and the two put on their dancing shoes to do the Foxtrot.  Kim admitted being very nervous about her first performance in her blog, but she told OK! Magazine that she sees this as a good challenge she wants to overcome.

"I wanted to challenge myself.  When they asked me to do it, I was honored," Kim admitted.  "I was definitely really nervous about it, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

The judges gave fair criticism to Kim, who appeared to be quite tense in her first performance.  In fact, she admits that she was quite uncomfortable even when they did her first camera blocking on Friday.

"For the first time, I feel like we didn’t know what we were doing!  I don’t know if it was because we were on stage for the first time in front of so many people, or what, but I just felt scared," she admitted. "I hope my nervousness today on stage was just for today!"

Her fans hope that her nervousness does wear out, especially now that they’ve saved her from elimination.  Jeff Ross and Edyta Sliwinska garnered the lowest combined total of points, thus earning a ticket to go home.  Kim sees this now as a chance to redeem herself and make a better performance next week, as she continues to work harder at the gym and in the rehearsal room.

"Knowing that I was going to do this, I started heavily working out in the gym all summer," she told OK! Magazine.  "I’ve lost a few pounds — nothing too crazy yet, but I heard that you really start to lose weight when the show starts.  You use different muscles.  I definitely feel my legs toning up. It’s really good to mix it up and do something different."
