Keeping Up With the Kardashians: Kim Talks About Her Film Debut
This weekend, we saw the opening of Disaster Movie, the Lionsgate Film following in the footsteps of comedy film Scary MovieKim Kardashian, from the highly successful E! reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, had been proudly talking about her film debut in her blog, and this weekend, fans finally got to see the reality celebrity show off her acting chops alongside friend and co-star Carmen Electra.  Recently, Kardashian and Electra
talked to the Canadian Press about their experiences filming Disaster Movie, and their transition from reality TV to the big screen.

"This is my first movie and I've just heard that Jason [Friedberg] and Aaron [Seltzer] are the most amazing directors to work with," Kim Kardashian told the Canadian Press.  "I auditioned for the role and I got it and I was really excited to work with them."

Kardashian and Electra are together in a wrestling scene in the film, where they spoof a couple of WWE Divas.

Speaking of the on-screen battle, Electra says that “it was kind of weird. But we had fun with it.  We had choreography so we got in the ring and just went for it.  But we would ask each other, "Are you OK?" after pulling each other's hair out.  It was really fun.”

As for Kardashian’s transition into film, she says that “I think there's a real difference [between reality TV and film].  Obviously...the editors, they try to make it be a certain way...Sometimes they exaggerate things."

Additionally, she says that in reality TV, audiences already have an idea of who and what you may be, and thus have an assumption of who you are.  She adds, “I think people expect you to be that way.  When you're in a movie, you're playing someone totally different, so there's no expectations.”

Catch Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra on Disaster Movie, which is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
