'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' at the Teen Choice Awards 2008
Kim Kardashian dazzled the blue carpet with her elegant white dress during the Teen Choice Awards this year.  The star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians made an appearance during the event, which was held at the Gibson Amphitheater in California.  She and the rest of the show's cast were nominated for two awards, namely Choice TV Female Reality/Variety Star Award, and Choice TV Celebrity Reality Award.

Kim may not have taken home any of the life-sized surfboard prizes, but she surely made heads turn with her outfit.  The reality show celebrity was almost unrecognizable in her rather conservative ensemble.  Kim Kardashian expressed excitement about the honor, as well as her dress, on her official website.  She gushed over her favorite store, Alice and Olivia.  Her blog entry also involved a shopping excursion for the 10th Teen's Choice Awards, helping out friends Adrienne and Kourtney.

Other stars that Kim had to contend with for the title were Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag of The Hills, Kristi Yamaguchi of Dancing with the Stars and Whitney Thompson of America's Next Top Model.  Lauren Conrad eventually won the title.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians lost the award of Choice TV Celebrity Reality to The Hills again.  The shows have been nominated for that category along with Life of Ryan, Rob & Big and Run's House.  This year's Teen Choice Awards was hosted by Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, who has also won an award for Choice TV Actress Comedy.  The awards event was dominated by the cast of the hit series Gossip Girl, while the Jonas Brothers garnered the most awards in the music categories.

Kim Kardashian didn't appear to hold a grudge against her fellow nominees and winners.  She soon got back up on her high-heeled toes and spent a weekend with her romantic partner, NFL player Reggie Bush.  The two of them were at Jackson, Mississippi together, having some well-deserved family time.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians
has been a successful reality series on the E! network, and will soon be having its third season in early 2009.
