Since the debut of Keeping Up with the Kardashians last October, life has been different for Kim Kardashian, who has gone from socialite to bona fide reality TV star.  At present, Kim is constantly under the public's watch, which is something she is accustomed to by now. However, having cameras always following her every move wasn't always that easy for the 27-year-old starlet.

“It's kind of crazy, but it's fun and you totally forget that they're there.  We kind of know what we're getting ourselves into.  But at first we used to be kind of careful about what we said and we would try to keep everything [censored].  My sisters kind of get crazy, and we tried so hard not to be ourselves for the first few weeks.  Then all of a sudden we just [got relaxed],” Kim Kardashian told OK! Magazine.

Ever since her reality TV stint, Kim's exposure to the limelight has also broadened.  She has graced several magazines, has made a guest appearance on many talk shows like The Chelsea Handler Show and Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, and has been cast in the movie Deep in the Valley.

“It's changed a lot.  It's so cool to see different people respond to different episodes and different episodes.  I think that me and my sisters never would have gotten really great opportunities that come up because we have a show on the air.  And I think that we're all just embracing all of it. We're all having a great time,” Kim added.

While Kim and the rest of her family are certainly enjoying the perks of being in the limelight, they are also gradually experiencing the downside of Hollywood.

“The only negative thing is that people just talk about you a lot more.  It doesn't affect me, but I know it affects other members of my family.  I'm very protective of my family, so I feel bad for them because they care so much,” Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian explained.
