As reported previously by BuddyTV, Kim Kardashian, the star of the reality series Keeping Up with the Kardahsians, is presently facing a lawsuit filed by Sonja Norwood, R&B singer Brandy Norwood's mother, who claims that the socialite turned reality TV starlet has run more than $120,000 in credit charges without her permission.

The suit, which also names Kim Kardashian's siblings Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Robert Kardashian, alleges they ran up the charges on Sonja Norwood's card in 2006 and 2007.  Norwood seeks the return of the money plus 10 percent interest.

According to People, Kim Kardashian denies the allegation, explaining that she and her siblings had Norwood's permission to make the purchases.

"We have her signature on all items," Kardashian said.

Sonja Norwood, on the other hand, claims that Kim Kardashina had only been authorized in 2004 to make one purchase on her American Express card in Kim's then position as a stylist for Brandy, whose brother Ray J also appeared in the infamous sex tape with Kim.

Kim Kardashian and her siblings maintain that the charges are unfounded and that they look forward to “proving the absurdity of these claims in a court of law."

At present, Kim stars on the E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, a reality series that documents the daily lives of the Kardashian/Jenner family.  The show premiered on October 14, 2007, and has since then been the highest-rated series on Sunday nights among women 18 to 34.  The pilot season has featured various celebrities such as Tyra Banks and the stars of The Girls Next Door, just to name a few.  And because of the success of the pilot, the network has picked up another season of the show, which will premiere on March 9 at 10/9c.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians is a production of The Simple Life and The Real World producers Bunim-Murray Productions, as well as American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's Ryan Seacrest Productions.
