Six people were fired for hacking patients' medical records at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Kim Kardashian gave birth to her first child with Kanye West on June 15. According to TMZ
, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians
star was contacted by the hospital regarding a breach of security that occurred between June 18 to June 24, as well as protocol related to her medical records.
The Los Angeles Times
reports that four of the fired workers were employees of physicians in possession of medical staff privileges at Cedars-Sinai, while one person was a medical assistant employed by the hospital and the other was a student research assistant.
Prior to this, the Kardashian family already suspected that there were leaks from the hospital after various media outlets released information about Kim's baby, North Wrest, that were not known to the public.
The reality starlet is reportedly pleased that the hospital informed her of the breach and has taken action against the said workers.
Meanwhile, the legal war between the Kardashians and Robert Kardashian's ex wife, Ellen Kardashian, continues. According to RadarOnline.com
, Ellen defends her marriage with Robert by pointing out the "lies" told by the Kardashian family in her counterclaim documents.
"In the Episode, Kimberly referred to Ellen as 'my dad's wife of a few weeks.' Robert and Ellen were married on July 27, 2003 and were married until Robert's death on September 30, 2003. Kimberly attended the wedding of her father, Robert, and Ellen and, therefore, knew that the statement she made in the Episode was false," the document said. "Kimberly made the statement knowing that it would debase Ellen's marriage and degrade Ellen's credibility to the public."
Previously, Khloe said on Keeping Up with the Kardashians that her father's ex-wife brought a priest to her dad's home and married her father on his death bed. Ellen denies this.
"This statement is false and defamatory. A friend presided at their marriage at the home in which Robert, Ellen and Robert Jr. had lived together for over a year and all of the Kardashian children were present at the planned wedding," the documents state. "It is true that Robert had already been diagnosed with cancer when he married Ellen, however, they had been engaged for a year and half prior to the marriage."
Aside from defending her relationship with Robert, Ellen slammed the Kardashian children, implying that they hardly visited their dying father.
"Contrary to the depiction of Ellen in the Episode, the Kardashian children visited Robert infrequently once he began His treatment and the task of caring for Robert's declining physical condition fell entirely to Ellen," the papers said. "At the moment Robert took his last breath, none of his children could be bothered to be by his side, opting instead to attend a party at Kourtney's home."
