Kim Kardashian finally got a trial date for her contested divorce, which she filed nearly a year and a half ago after her 72-day marriage from Kris Humphries. This is certainly good news for the Keeping Up with the Kardashians
star, who's looking forward to end her marriage to the NBA star before her baby with Kanye West arrives this summer.

Humphries, who believes that his marriage to the reality TV starlet was based on fraud, is seeking an annulment instead of a divorce. He wants additional time so he could review footages from Keeping Up with the Kardashians to support his claims that Kim only married him for the sake of her reality show. Because of this, his attorney, Marshall Waller, has asked for a delay in the divorce trial until basketball season is over.
According to the Huffington Post
, Superior Court Judge Stephen Moloney rejected the request, explaining that police offers, firefighters and others have to miss work for trials and so Kris must do the same. Meanwhile, Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon has set the trial date on May 6.
"Let's get this case dispensed with," said attorney Laura Wasser, whose client Kim is ready for trial.
In other news, Kim Kardashian has reportedly sold her Beverly Hills mansion recently. A source told TMZ
that Kim, who currently appears on the reality series Kourtney and Kim Take Miami
, let go of the house, which she bought three years ago for $4.8 million and once shared with ex Kris Humphries, for just under $5 million. The 4,000-square-foot-property reportedly included all the high-end furniture from couches, coffee tables to Kim's vanity dresser.
