FOX's K-Ville: Meet the Cast

The cast of K-Ville Fox’s upcoming police drama, K-Ville, is about life in New Orleans two years after Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc and destruction upon the largest city in Louisiana. However, though the streets continue to be chaotic, criminals roam free and crime labs, jails and police stations still face ruin, a dedicated group of cops are ready to reclaim and rebuild their beloved city.

The series, which was created by writer and executive producer Jonathan Lisco, promises to deliver a mixture of intriguing crime and dramatic personal stories, spanning from Garden District’s Victorian Mansions to the Lower 9th Ward.

Anthony Anderson will play Marlin Boulet, the humorous FOPD Felony Action Squad veteran whose partner abandoned him during the storm. Anderson is a comedian and actor whose breakthrough role was in the NBC teen sitcom, Hang Time. Since appearing on the comedy show, Anderson has worked extensively in the film industry, landing roles in such movies as Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Barbershop, Kangaroo Jack, The Departed and Transformers. He also starred in the short-lived All About the Andersons, and received critical acclaim for his guest appearances on the series, The Shield.

To play Marlin’s new partner, Trevor Cobb, is actor Cole Hauser. Hauser, who comes from a family of artists, has done work in a variety of productions, including The Break-Up, The Cave, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, 2 Fast 2 Furios, Tears of the Sun, Good Will Hunting, Higher Learning and Hart’s War. Hauser has one son, Ryland, with actress Cynthia Daniel.

Maximiliano Hernandez is set to portray Billy “K-9” Faust, a cop who has a habit of speaking before thinking. Hernandez acting credits include Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Conviction, Mentor, The Nine, Shark, NUMB3RS and the recently completed film, Pride and Glory, which is slated for release in 2008.

Blake Shields has been tasked to play Jeff “Glue Boy” Gooden, the one who provides comic relief to the team. Shields has done extensive work in the small screen, having appeared in shows like Veronica Mars, Sleeper Cell, Crossing Jordan, Carnivale, NCIS, Cold Case, CSI and JAG.

Other cast members include Tawny Cypress as Ginger “Love Tap” LeBeau, the only woman on the squad, and John Carroll Lynch as Captain James Embry, who manages his diverse team by balancing humor with tenacity. Cypress was last seen on NBC's Heroes as art dealer Simone Deveaux, and Lynch, who is known for his role in the Drew Carey Show, has been recently seen as Close to Home's district attorney Steve Sharpe.

Fox’s K-Ville is slated to fill in Fox’s Monday night, 9pm timeslot beginning this fall.
