Reed Diamond was born on July 20, 1967 in New York City, where he was raised as the son of Allison, an astrologer and Bob, a director. He was educated at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and moved on to training to become a police officer before he ventured into studying acting at Juilliard School. He first appeared on television with guest roles on
Law and Order and
Class of '96 and graced the movie screens with appearances on
Memphis Belle in 1990 and
Clear and Present Danger in 1994. However, Diamond's first big break came a year later when he was cast for
Homicide: Life on the Street as Detective Mike Kellerman. His other movie appearances were in High Noon in 2000, Three Days in 2001, Spiderman 2 in 2004 and Good Night, and Good Luck in 2005. He also filled the recurring role of Stuart Collins on
Judging Amy and appeared as a guest on
Crossing Jordan,
The West Wing,
Medium,
Numb3rs,
Stargate SG-1 and
Without a Trace.
Jack Vasser is played by Reed Diamond on the new NBC series, Journeyman. Jack is the brother of Dan Vasser, who is suddenly gifted with the ability to travel in time and change people’s lives, including his own. Journeyman follows the adventure of a man who’s about to discover (and maybe even change) his destiny.
