Scottish actor Kevin McKidd was born on August 9, 1973 in Elgin, Moray where he also grew up. He was a member of the Moray Youth Theatre where he honed his skills in acting at a young age. He initially wanted to become an engineer, enrolling at University of Edinburgh, but dropped out to enroll at Queen Margaret College and study drama. While in college he participated actively in theater productions, joining the University's student theater company, Bedlam Theatre. McKidd's subsequent roles on films were on Trainspotting, Small Faces and Kingdom of Heaven. He also graced the television screen by appearing on shows like Looking After Jo Jo, The Long Good Friday and later on in Journeyman, where he plays the lead role.
Dan Vasser is played by Kevin McKidd in the television series Journeyman. Dan is just an average man who's got things going great for him—until he is given the chance to travel...not around the world, but in time. He then finds himself changing people's lives, both positively and negatively. Things even get worse when he rediscovers (while time-traveling, of course) his ex-fiancé, who mysteriously died in a plane crash years ago.
