Fans of NBC’s time travel drama Journeyman have something to celebrate today, as the network has officially announced that the series will wrap its 13-episode run with a pair of episodes airing the week of December 17.  Recently there was speculation that NBC planned to leave the last two episodes in the can and yank the show after episode 11, but thankfully that won’t be happening.

Episode 12 of Journeyman will air on Monday, December 17, in the show’s usual time slot of 10pm, followed by episode 13 on Wednesday, December 19, also at 10pm.  The show will follow NBC’s sure-to-be riveting new reality competition Clash of the Choirs on both nights.

Fans likely have the writers’ strike to thank for the fact that NBC has stood behind Journeyman, as the show has been slowly sinking in the ratings since its premiere.  The network still hasn’t announced if they will pick up the series beyond its already completed 13 episodes, despite asking for three additional scripts last month.  However, a decision about the show’s fate may be coming soon, as NBC recently announced plans to pick up freshman shows Chuck and Life for the rest of the season.

With the fate of the show currently up in the air, it wouldn’t hurt to start those “Save Our Show” campaigns as soon as possible.
