Did you vote for your favorite The Voice performance last night? I sure hope you did, because tonight those votes will seal the fate of four unlucky artists from Team Christina and Team Blake. There were highlights such as opener Jermaine Paul, setting the bar high and then there were definite low-lights like Sera Hill's performance being over shadowed by her male dancers. Both teams were dealt their share of ups and downs, though.

Celeb coaches Christina and Blake may have been dressed professionally, well as professional as one can get working with reality talent shows, yet the usual expectations of watching the men exchange dumbfounded looks as the genie in a bottle herself proves she wears the diva crown were slightly shadowed by Cee Lo's Prince-like attire. Yes, I'm still hung up on that outfit.

On a more relevant entertainment note, Gym Class Heroes is in the house to perform live!

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

We're live again, folks! Everyone is done up and fancy, sporting formal attire except for coaches Adam, who wears a white version of his buttoned down shirt look of yesterday, and Cee Lo, who has on a red studded leather blazer. Anyways, down to business.

Carson Daly explains that there will be a bottom three, in each team! No pressure! Those three will be able to sing for their lives. Afterwards, Christina and Blake will have the agonizing job of choosing who stays and who goes. Plus! Gym Class Heroes will be performing alongside Team Adam!

Carson: "How tough is it you can only save one?"

Blake: "It sucks! It's sucky!" Perfectly said, Blake.

Christina makes a good point, saying that "the twist this year" is that the artists get to perform selections of their own this year, sort of taking things back to the blind auditions.

Guest Performance

Gym Class Hereos ft. Neon Hitch
"Back Home"

Neon Hitch reminds me of something Katy Perry overlooked on the sales rack. It looks as if she's wearing sawed off bed post decorations as wings. She sounds good, though! Travie McCoy and the boys definitely have the crowd hyped up. Just when I was wondering what happened to Team Adam, they're spread out on the outside runways, singing backup. I mean way back up! So much that they looked as if they were lip syncing, which they probably were.

Team Blake
Blake Shelton took his team on a field trip to Go Country radio. "You're all going to be country artists!" he laughs. I'm so glad he's joking because Charlotte Sometimes would not make the cut were that the case. On air, Blake announces that he wants to set up a live show for Los Angeles to meet his team and have them perform.  Obviously, that was all in the previously recorded package.

Now on stage, Team Blake awaits their fate.

Those saved by America:
Erin Willet
Jermaine Paul
RaeLynn

Carson sends Naia Kete, Charlotte Sometimes and Jordis Unga to prepare for their performances.

Team Christina
Christina Aguilera takes her team to meet Jay Leno at The Tonight Show studios. "I wanted to show them how to promote yourself," she says. The artists rehearsed and then performed on the show that night in duets as Mama Bear sat next to the legendary talk show host.

It's now Team Christina's turn on stage.

Those saved by America:
Jesse Campbell
Lindsey Pavao
Chris Mann

This time, Carson sends Sera Hill, Moses Stone and Ashley De La Rosa backstage.

Last Chance Performances

Team Blake
Artist:
Naia Kete
Song: "If I Were a Boy" by Beyonce
Naia's in great spirits as she skips out with only a mic in hand. The song has reggae undertones, staying true to her personal genre. Her younger sister stands in the audience with tears streaming down her face, but I don't know that she has anything to be upset over. Naia sounds pretty good, actually.

Blake: "I'd be lying if I said I didn't say I wish you had come out here and sang something reggae." Naia answers that "they wouldn't let me!" What?!

Artist: Charlotte Sometimes
Song: "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls
Charlotte's voice conveys emotions really well, I think. This song is definitely filled with them along with the moment. She's definitely crying while trying to keep it all together. If I were Blake, I would take into consideration those who look to really want to be in the competition. This comes across as a very honest performance. Oh, no time for an interview with Carson. He shoos her offstage in a hurry!

Artist: Jordis Unga
Song: "Wild Horses" by Rolling Stones
This particular performance is a bit more stripped down than that of last night. So far, there aren't any screamed notes or anything being forced from her lungs. Jordis is taking her time with this one. It's easy to hear when her voice cracks, though. Wonder if Blake will let that one slip?

The other two are brought back onstage alongside Jordis.

Christina: "You guys are just hanging in there like troopers." In the end, Carson wants a name that she would save. "Jordis"

Cee Lo: "Jordis"

Adam: "Without question, this one goes to Jordis."

Blake: "If I have to base my decision on what I just saw up there, I gotta go with Jordis."

Saved:
Jordis Unga

Going Home:
Naia Kete
Charlotte Sometimes

Team Christina
Artist:
Ashley De La Rosa
Song: "Paris (Ooh La La)" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
I like this girl! She's cute and petite, but her voice packs a punch! Ashley is rocking the stage and greeting those near the runways. The vocals are on point, too. There's even a little eye candy for the camera at the end there. This will be tough.

Artist: Sera Hill
Song: "Vision of Love" by Mariah Carey
The song seems to start off a bit shaky, as if Sera couldn't catch the beat. Does it matter, though? She sounds fantastic. Her range is really worth celebrating. Christina will surely take those vocal Olympics into account, too. True, she's nowhere near Mariah Carey's level, or her coach's, but she held her own nicely.

Artist: Moses Stone
Song: "Breakeven" by The Script
Moses listened to the coaches, going with a song where he can showcase his singing talents. He gets a little carried away running around and shaking people's hands. Moses loses breath and goes incredibly flat on a big note and every big note after that. I want to like this, I really do, but I don't think it's good enough.

Sera and Ashley return to the stage and stand next to Moses.

Cee Lo: "I think I would save Sera."

Adam: "If I had to pick, I would say absolutely Ashley."

Blake: "Ashley"

Christina: "Everyone's shouting at me!" Yes! Say a name! Oh, here's the speech ... "I have a special place for all of you, but I have to go with my gut with my instinct with my heart and it's telling me Ashley."

Saved:
Ashley De La Rosa

Going Home:
Sera Hill
Moses Stone

Let's round up those who were saved tonight one more time.

Team Blake
RaeLynn
Jordis Unga
Jermaine Paul
Erin Willet

Team Christina
Lindsey Pavao
Ashley De La Rosa
Chris Mann
Jesse Campbell

Well, that went extremely fast, didn't it? I'm upset about some things and I'm happy about some things. I don't really feel that America had it right with saving RaeLynn; she's very cute, but there were better performances last night. Plus, I would not have saved Jordis if I were Blake. For Team Christina, I'm happy that Ashley is sticking around as well as Lindsey Pavao, but I believe the guys on her team are interchangeable. What do you guys think? I know some of you have been keeping up along with me as the show airs, but keep your thoughts coming.

Next Monday, The Voice will return with more live performances from Team Adam and Team Cee Lo. Make sure you tune in a bit early for my live coverage. The show starts on NBC at 8/7c. See you then!
