'J.O.N.A.S' Debut Rakes in Ratings, Brothers End Up "Paranoid"
The newest effort from Disney might be getting a lot of attention from tweens, but it certainly can't match the numbers of Hannah Montana.  Premiering recently, J.O.N.A.S. raked in 4 million total viewers for its 8pm Saturday premiere.  Audiences switched on their screens to ogle the pop trio's new comedy, which earned the network its best ratings in the half hour in the past eight months.

While J.O.N.A.S. fared spectacularly, new episodes of the comedy featuring Miley Cyrus topped all that.  Hannah Montana surpassed their show, especially in the kids aged 6-11 demographic.  It managed to obtain 2.0 million viewers in that category, while J.O.N.A.S. only got 1.6 million.

Despite that, the brothers are still trying to establish themselves as TV stars.  Cyrus has already been under the spotlight for quite some time owing to her famous father.  Even so, the Jonases are proving that they can be a driving force in the industry, as long as they keep working.

Last Tuesday, they sent a Twitter saying they recently finished filming a video for their new single, "Paranoid."  The soon-to-be hit comes straight from the Jonas Brothers' upcoming album Lines, Vines and Trying Times.  Set for a June 16 release, the CD has been referred to as the JoBros' most personal one yet.

"We're really proud of it. It's a good step for who we are as musicians," they told MTV News.  "As we get older, so does our music.  There's a lot more horns, and it's really fun.  I think people are going to be able to jam out to it in their cars or their mom's cars ... or their boom boxes."

They might not meet the success of Hannah Montana, but the trio seems to be going far.  With their new album and a new television show, the Jonas Brothers will take their fans by storm (if they aren't doing so already).
