Career-oriented women like Kate Gosselin have little time to party. As her 35th birthday rolled by, the
Jon and Kate Plus 8 star didn't plan on any big celebrations. Instead, she flew to Los Angeles and spent the occasion practicing for

Us Magazine, Kate Gosselin wasn't even with the brood hours before. She didn't have any time for them the entire weekend because of her stint on the dance competition.
Last Saturday, Kate Gosselin was greeted by her bodyguard Steve Neild and his wife, Gina. They arrived at the family's Pennsylvania home carrying a large gift for the
Jon and Kate Plus 8 matriarch, right before she headed to rehearsals.
At 9:30am,
Dancing with the Stars partner Tony Dovolani showed up to drag the reality star down her basement for a practice session. She really is bent on winning this thing, telling
People that she just wanted to make it past elimination this week.
"I hope I'm not one of the first to go," Kate Gosselin said. "I really like it here. You become close to everybody so fast."
After the three-hour rehearsal with Tony and lunch, Kate and her bodyguard headed for a Toyota dealership to get her Land Cruiser serviced. As for the kids, they spent the day being babysat by Gina Neild.
When the
Jon and Kate Plus 8 star was done with her errands, she was picked up by a limo to bring them to the airport. Cameras followed them throughout their trip but the mom wasn't fazed. She looked more worried about the results of the show though.
