The case of Jon Gosselin and the Ransacked Apartment isn't over yet, as more suspicion is cast on the victim himself. The Jon and Kate Plus 8 patriarch is being summoned by the Manhattan District Attorney's office next week to settle the case, but things aren't looking good for the reality TV star.
Last December, the 32-year-old dad of eight reportedly found his New York City home broken into. Some of his possessions were missing, and the crime was attributed to his ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman. He then filed a criminal complaint against her, which will be the topic of his supposed upcoming meeting with the District Attorney.
According to
Radar Online, sources close to the NYPD have confirmed the news. They say that the reality TV father "is receiving word this week that he needs to come in for a meeting" with the said party. He's bound to be in talks with the new Manhattan D.A., Cyrus R. Vance Jr.
The insiders went on to say that they believe the break-in was a mere publicity stunt made up by Jon Gosselin himself. They think it was staged by the star, which is why they're calling him in to explain the situation.
Making it worse is the fact that the NYPD found a note on Jon Gosselin's dresser, stuck there with the point of a butcher's knife. It made the whole incident less believable and more staged, as though the
Jon and Kate Plus 8 star really was framing Hailey Glassman for it.
"The more they've looked into it, the more they've felt like it was a publicity stunt on Jon's part," the source revealed. "They absolutely thought the butcher knife part of it was complete 'B.S.' - something out of a bad B movie! While this hasn't been the detectives' top priority, Gosselin could get the collar for filing a false report."
With that, it looks like the reality TV celebrity just dug a deeper hole for himself. "Now, the open investigation that's continued has resulted in the D.A.'s office deciding that Jon Gosselin must come in and appear in person to be questioned," the insider continued.
"This is serious stuff if the D.A.'s office wants to speak to him directly. And if he refuses to voluntarily show, they could make it difficult for him and issue a subpoena - basically, forcing him to appear."
It looks like Jon Gosselin will have to take time out of hanging with his current flame Morgan Christie to face this.
